The symmetrical patterning on the box really does look like woven brocade up close, way more detailed than I expected for a card set. Each relic character card has its own little story that makes solo shuffling sessions oddly relaxing.
The gilded box itself is almost too pretty to open — the symmetrical brocade-like pattern catches light from every angle on my shelf. Once I did open it, the relic characters each having their own little story made me actually read the booklet instead of tossing it. Worth it just for the display val
The cards inside feel like tiny museum pieces, each relic character making me want to flip through the deck just to see who I meet next. The brocade-style exterior is even more striking in person, catching light in a way photos don't capture. I've already ordered a second box as a gift.
